6 Day Challenge

“Move with the sunrise. Carry the energy with you.”

There is something different about moving before the rest of the day gets started. Before the inbox, before the commute, before the first thing that needs your attention.

For six mornings, the 6 Day Sunrise Challenge asks you to wake up about 30 minutes earlier and give that time to yourself. Each class is short enough to fit into the start of your day, with practices that range from energizing vinyasa and Pilates to focused movement and Kundalini.

The goal is simple: notice what changes when movement comes first.

Day one: start Monday moving

Power Up Monday Practice is designed for exactly the kind of morning when getting started feels like the hardest part. Mona Godfrey combines sun salutations and core work in an energizing power vinyasa flow that gets the body moving and helps shake off some of that Monday sluggishness.

It is an active start to the challenge and a good reminder that energy does not always have to arrive before you begin. Sometimes movement is what brings it.

Day two: give your spine some room

After a day of sitting, commuting, working, or simply moving through your usual routine, Spine Mobility offers a different kind of morning reset.

Nikki Beck links breath with gentle spinal movement in this short Pilates practice, with an emphasis on mobility, posture, core stability, and relief from the stiffness that can build through the back.

Twenty minutes is enough to wake up without asking your body to go from zero to full speed.

Day three: move with your breath

Salute the Sun brings the focus back to one of yoga’s most familiar ideas: connecting breath and movement.

Sara Clark leads an energizing beginner-friendly flow with sun salutations, alignment work, and plenty of upward movement. If you are still learning how to move through a flow or want to slow down enough to feel the connection between each breath and each shape, this is a good morning for it

Day four: focus your gaze

Some mornings need less intensity and more attention.

In Focal Point, Amanda Botur introduces Drishti, the practice of giving the eyes a steady place to rest. The physical practice is paired with a simple idea: where you place your attention can influence how you experience what is happening around you.

It is a quieter shift than the earlier classes, but an especially useful one before a day full of distractions.

Day five: find steadiness from within

Kundalini for Self-Reliance explores a different kind of morning energy.

Sarah Kline combines a heat-building core sequence with gentler forward folds intended to calm the nervous system. The practice centers on self-reliance and the idea of developing the internal tools and courage to trust yourself.

Expect effort, then a little space to settle.

Day six: clear some space

The final morning is about finishing refreshed rather than simply finishing.

In Renew and Refresh, Adi Amar leads a compact, full-body flow designed to create space for something new. It brings together energizing movement, core work, forward bends, and a sense of release in less than half an hour.

After six mornings of changing how the day begins, it is a fitting place to notice what you want to carry forward. Six days is not long enough to completely reinvent your mornings, and that is not really the point.

It is long enough to notice.

Do you feel more focused after moving first? Does your energy change? Does waking up a little earlier feel different when those extra minutes belong to you? Try all six practices and see what follows you into the rest of the day.
