From the Archive: Managing Migraines

Migraines can truly get in the way of your day-to-day routine, not to mention cause you physical distress and throbbing pain. The experience of a migraine is often described as a debilitating headache. Migraines can arise for different reasons, some of which may be stress or high blood pressure. The symptoms of a migraine however are not limited to a headache, in fact, they often bring along many other symptoms like sensitivity to light and sounds, nausea, difficulty speaking or numbness.

While research is still being done to understand the causes of migraines and what happens with the chemicals in the brain to cause this great discomfort, there are some natural remedies to help alleviate the symptoms of a migraine. Since these debilitating headaches can last anywhere from 4 to 72 hours, having resources to help you find more ease during this process can bring great relief.
