Ask YogaToday with Our Instructors: What are You Grateful for Right Now?

As the season of gratitude and giving approaches, we asked our instructors to share what they are grateful for right now. Find out what Sarah, Adi, Grace, Sara Clark, and Neesha are thankful for as you count your own blessings. From all of us at YogaToday, we wish you a very safe and happy holiday week! 

Sarah Kline: I am grateful for my family, my freedom, and my practice!

Adi Amar: My Son Matteo, I am grateful for the unconditional love that he embodies every single day, and the lessons that he teaches me about how to let go and be in the moment. Children have this incredible capacity to be in the moment. One second they are upset about not getting their way, or feeling tired, and the next moment they are laughing and cuddling, gooing and cooing. They are moment-to-moment beings and we can learn so much from them by not holding onto the things that have already passed. Perceive the moment with clarity and be in the moment with unconditional love.

I am also grateful for all of the obstacles and challenges that life has presented me, as they have all created the friction necessary for me to grow and change. My natural response to difficulty is to resist, but every time I embrace and allow the challenges in my life to propel me toward deeper self-reflection and observation, I end up moving through each experience with a broadened perspective, deeper self-understanding and clarity. Layer by layer, I begin to see my defense mechanisms disarm. This of course has been a lifelong process that I have to work on and accept every day, but never-the-less, I am grateful for all that life presents.

Grace Dubery: I am grateful for all that is unfolding in my life and all that is yet to come. I am grateful for my family, their health, and my health.

Sara Clark: I am grateful for (so many things!) my mental & physical health that allows me to achieve my dreams; my family that continues to be my foundation and cheer squad; and my career that facilitates positive change in my life and others.

Neesha Zollinger: I am grateful for wisdom and consciousness teachings. I am blessed to have been showered with insights and viewpoints for years. When I was young, they were mostly beautiful thoughts, but through the years, they have become anchors to my being. I am immensely grateful for a whole tool belt of yogic practices that I can pull out to help transform any situation. I am beyond grateful for the yoga community. It is amazing to connect with people around love, purpose and health. I get the palpable sense of being blessed by the feelings of love and connection with friends all over the world.
