We recently had the pleasure of talking with Jessica Marlo Vandenbroeke, a soft-spoken visionary and accomplished entrepreneur, at her Health Food Cafe in downtown Jackson Hole. With attention to her intention, Jess has grown Healthy Being Juicery from a lemonade stand start-up to a thriving main street business. Jess believes in creating your dream life through action and her organic philosophy has manifested itself in equally pure products and happy, loyal customers. Six days a week, Healthy Being provides fresh-pressed juices and food (for thought) with a quote or question scrawled in chalk. On the day when Jess and I met to discuss the serious business of winter season smoothies, the blackboard encouraged: “December is the last month, so make it the best!” That got me thinking – the last turn of the calendar brings opportunity but also the pressure that comes when something (anything) draws to a close. However you may be feeling the seasonal pinch, self-care probably has not taken a front seat in the year’s final hour. Enter Jess, who has a quick anti-inflammatory fix for what’s ailing you. Allow her calm to channel through the “Cranberry Cleanser” and let the yearly countdown of bests and lasts march on – Pa rum pum pun pun! Stress be gone!

Jessica is an inspired entrepreneur and lover of life who believes in actualizing your dreams through intention and commitment. She became a holistic health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, earned her raw food chef certification with Gabriel Cousins at the Tree of Life, and has dedicated numerous hours towards further training in coaching, functional nutrition, yoga, food and wine. After 10 years managing, launching, and consulting for four of the top restaurants and a catering company in Jackson Hole, WY, Jessica launched the first iteration of Healthy Being Juicery in 2012. Her brain child quickly evolved and outgrew its first space to meet the requests of its clients and community. What started as a small health coaching practice expanded into the full service organic café and cold-pressed juicery that you can visit today on Jackson’s main drive.

We consulted Jess on energizing smoothies to keep our spirits high through the holiday season and the New Year so look for more recipes coming to the blog. For more healthy inspiration, you can follow Health Being Juicery on Instagram.
