Wow! This class helped me look fear right in the face and gave me methods to overcome inwardly (by "drawing in" and consciously keeping my shoulders on my back) and outwardly (by using the wall). I did not achieve handstand and realized this was simply due to fear because the wall was right there! Knowing this, I can try again, and will accomplish handstand and, more importantly, rid myself of the fear of being upside down in this posture.

This class focuses on handstand. Begins with some sun salutations and a few standing poses...then into handstand preps and handstands. crow to tripod headstand and back to crow. Finishes with some seated hip and hamstring openers and twists. Neesha guides Savasana a bit. By body was humming with peaceful energy :) This class builds lots of upper body strength.

The pace was quite fast for a Neesha class, the inversions were fun and all the shoulder prep and reminders made this an incredibly safe class. I felt solid in my tripod headstand and pulled off the bakasana/tripod transition with much more control and grace than ever before. What empowerment!

I am so fearful of inversions but this class had me totally at ease and not surprisingly I achieved more than I expected. The use of the wall was new to me and very effective. There were many challenging strength building postures throughout. I feel so proud of myself, empowered.
