I felt this should be more of a 'Novice' class. I felt bored with all the crescent poses which is what I feel most of the class consisted of. I like more variety I guess. Will not be doing this one again

I loved the backbend and the thigh work, but she spent a lot of time talking and not doing anything. This is really like a 30 minute class. During the savasana at the end I did not feel the circulation I usually do. I left feeling unbalanced still and needing to stretch more. I have liked Neesha's other stuff but was disappointed with this one.

I was skeptical as to how all these lunges were going to help me do Whee...

I was skeptical as to how all these lunges were going to help me do Wheel, even as I really enjoyed them and felt my hamstrings relax more. But when I did the first Wheel, it was easier and felt more free than I think it has ever been! Hearing the logic behind these poses is so invaluable. I did gymnastics in high school, so some of the end-of-class poses (splits, Wheel) were standard warm-up exercises. I only started in 8th grade, and always thought that my age was why some things were hard for me. Now, I think it was just because I was being told how to make my body look right, but not actually how to *get* to that point. I don't have the arm strength that I used to, but my back has never felt so good in Wheel. In short, thank you so much! (And are there any principles to help sweaty hands from sliding away from me in Wheel? Weightlifting gloves solved this problem for now, but I'm guessing there's a better way out there.)

I liked doing so many lunges, and loved Neesha's constant directions about correct breathing (something i personally need to be reminded of all the time!). However, i felt the transitions between poses were a bit jarring. Also, at the risk of sounding unenlightened, i found all the talk of 'principles' a bit distracting because it left me overthinking it rather than simply focusing with my entire being on the poses and my breath.

this class felt really great. neesha focuses specifically on looping the pelvis and thighs for better alignment. it was really cool to be able to observe the slight differences each time you went deeper into a pose- i could feel my hips and pelvis slowly opening up, bit by bit. the back bends at the end were awesome too! thanks neesha =)

If you want to enhance your practice this class has very clear demonstrations of thigh and pelvic loop. Neesha just keeps reiterating it pose after pose until you can't help but be aware of it. The apex pose of upward facing bow and the one legged bridge leading into it are intense.

Suitable for novices, too, although the upward bow pose (i.e., full backbend) may be too difficult. I only recently became able to do that pose, and I had a harder time with it in this class. (Usually there are lots of smaller backbends in the class to help you warm up for the BIG backbend, but that wasn't the case in this particular practice.) Still, an all around good class with Neesha's great attitude and clear instructions.

Neesha instructs us on how to deepen our poses in order to feel more fully in life. This class was centered on thigh and pelvic loops. Lots of lunges, but also extended side angle, warrior i, lunges, and bridge focusing on thigh and pelvic loop prepare you for three final full backbends. I suspect that as I become more in tune with thigh and pelvic loops will really deepen my ability to stabilize my lower back in backbends and deepen into them. The sound was bad at the beginning. I don't know if I just got used to it, but it wasn't a problem for me, and I was able to view and listen to the whole class.

Lots of lunges and the thigh loop concept really helped me conceive of where my hamstrings, quads, and femurs are in space. My back felt nicely protected. Although a beginner, I was able to do most poses as presented (except for the backbend - not quite there yet). Thank you so much for your bright personality and explanations about "honoring my feet" and "breathing my own breath." Both of these reminders helped me to be cognizant of what was happening in my body during this class.

There's just nothing not to like in this class. I really got the sense that the participants were practicing yoga. Everybody doesn't move simultaneously; I could feel that they were really moving with thier own breaths. So much nicer than a slick, coreographed video.
