Another great backbending class from Neesha. I'm more novice than yogi, but I was able to do all of the poses in this class. Great for upper body and hips. I was too tired to do the 3rd and final upward bow pose at the end, but next time I *will* do all 3!

Neesha works you into the apex pose(upward bow) by opening and strengthening the shoulders. Poses like dolphin and side plank get your shoulders strong and on the back. Good hip opening poses also.

I did it! The upper back and shoulder prep work throughout the class and approaching the full backbends in stages let me complete these upward bows and hold them for the allotted time. This is a feat I haven't accomplished since childhood and I have a wonderful sense of accomplishment and strength right now. This class was an hour of fulfilling work with backbends interspersed throughout and was fantastic for developing courage.
