The Journey Ahead

It’s great to be back in Jackson with my home kula!

My retreat with Paul Muller-Ortega and his friends rocked my world in the most positive ways.  Paul teaches clarity, understanding, and deep respectful love.  The combination of his teachings and the opportunity to practice with like-minded soul buddies transformed my inner landscape to one of greater ease and strength.  His guidance has prepared me even more for the journey ahead!

A wonderful journey has invited me to soften and settle into the culmination of a year of study.  During the past 12 months I have committed to practice with Professor Paul Muller-Ortega in a course of philosophy and meditation.  We have our final retreat together this coming weekend.  In preparation for this amazing time with teacher and community, I am fortunate to step into some non-structured time.

My boyfriend and I have traveled from Wyoming to California over the past few days, practicing yoga at Yoga Kula in Salt Lake City, climbing rocks in Nevada, playing in the Pacific Ocean, more yoga at Soul Yoga in Encinitas, and meditating wherever we find ourselves.

Throughout this experience we have found ourselves surrounded in the love of friends, the texture of learning about each other and the laughter of our fun together.  I look forward to this time with my teacher with a rested, clear and refreshed perspective.

Hello everyone! In this video I offer some warm-up and warm-down exercises that are great when performed before and after hiking and running.

We’ll be going 1,500 feet vertical - climbing the local ski hill, Snow King Mountain. It’s right in our backyard here in the town of Jackson and serves as the perfect treadmill for both people and dogs after a long workday.

Getting outside and being active clears the cobwebs from the mind, loosens up the spine and expands the lungs, leaving your legs strong and your mind at ease.

Come out and enjoy the day with us!

Hi everyone… I recently returned to Jackson from Kripalu in Lenox, Massachusetts where I was practicing with Gurmukh at a women’s retreat.

Gurmukh’s name means “One who helps people across the world ocean”…and let me tell you it was inspirational…we were up at 4:30am every morning for sadhana… morning practice which invigorated and inspired us for the day’s teaching!

Since that retreat I have committed to early morning sadhana, before the sun rises 3-6am is known in many traditions as the “Amrit Vela”–the time of nectar. It is the time before not only the sun rises, but the population rises and therefore everything is still, quiet and divine. Gurmukh promises if you can do your sadhana at this time of day the effects will be even more powerful. Read the rest of this entry »
